The Red Lion RJS-75SS 3/4 HP shallow well jet pump is designed for the supply of fresh water to rural homes, farms, and cabins with suction lifts down to 25 feet. It features a corrosion-resistant stainless steel pump casing, a 115/230-volt heavy-duty motor, and a factory pre-set 30/50 pressure switch that can produce up to 50Psi with an automatic shut-off. This bundle also comes with the Low Pressure Cut-off Switch (Part # 640134), which is designed to protect the pump from running dry.

The Red Lion 640134 Low Pressure Cut-off Switch is equipped with 1/4-inch female NPT threading at the bottom of the unit and attaches easily to the pump or the piping. If the water level in the well runs too low, the pressure will drop, and this switch detects the drop in water pressure and turns the pump off when the pressure falls by approximately 10 PSI. Running a pump dry can severely damage the pump, melting the impeller and causing the motor to burn out. This switch is designed to protect the investment by automatically shutting off the pump when the pressure drops, allowing the well time to recover.

The pump is built for aggressive water conditions, with a stainless steel pump housing that is corrosion-resistant. The motor specifications include a dual voltage (115/230 volts) thermally protected TEFC motor, factory set to 230 Volts but can be easily switched to 115 Volts, with 9.0 Amps at 115 Volts and 4.5 Amps at 230 Volts.

The pump specifications include a 1-inch FNPT intake and discharge, a 1/8-inch NPT pressure gauge port (with no pressure gauge included), and a maximum pressure of 73 PSI and a maximum head of 169-ft. The pump can deliver 12.8 GPM at a 5-foot suction lift and 30 PSI.

To reset the pump, users must prime the pump and hold the lever down manually until the pump kicks in. This is necessary after the Low Pressure Cut-off Switch has been activated, as it prevents the pump from running dry and causing damage.
