Shallow Well Jet Pump Bundle with Low Pressure Pump Protection Switch

The Red Lion RJS-50/RL6H pump tank combo features a premium 1/2 hp shallow well jet pump (RJS-50-PREM) and a 5.3-gallon pressure tank, pre-assembled for quicker installation. Designed for wells down to 25 feet, this dual-voltage (115/230) system comes factory-set to 230 volts but can be easily switched to 115 volts. The 3/4-inch FNPT discharge allows easy connection to the household water system, and the bundle includes a Low Pressure Cut-off Switch (Part # 640134) to protect the pump from running dry.

The Red Lion 640134 Low Pressure Cut-off Switch is designed to safeguard the pump by detecting a drop in water pressure and automatically turning the pump off when the pressure falls by approximately 10 PSI. Running a pump dry can severely damage it, melting the impeller and causing the motor to burn out. By preventing this, the switch helps protect your investment and allows the well time to recover.

To reset the pump, simply prime it and hold the lever down manually until the pump kicks in. The switch features 1/4-inch female NPT threading at the bottom, enabling easy attachment to the pump or piping.

The pre-assembled system includes a 1/2 HP, 12 GPM premium jet pump with a rugged cast iron casing, 115/230-volt operation, 30/50 pressure switch, and glass-filled thermoplastic impeller and diffuser. The 5.3-gallon pressure tank is made of heavy-duty 16-gauge cold-rolled steel with an appliance-quality paint finish, a blended butyl rubber diaphragm, and a steel clench ring to keep the diaphragm from touching the tank, reducing condensation. It also has a brass air valve and O-ring seal.

The system's specifications include: 1/2 HP; 12 GPM; 115/230 Volts (set to 230 Volts but easily changed to 115); 11.8 Amps at 115 Volts; 5.9 Amps at 230 Volts; 1.25-inch FNPT intake; 3/4-inch FNPT discharge; 65 max PSI; 150-ft. max head; and a 5.3-gallon tank.
